Procedure For Applying:

       Eligible candidates should apply in the prescribed form only to the Principal, Ekalavya Shikshan Sanstha Polytechnic, Pune as given separately with this prospectus within 15 days of declaration of s.s.c. result of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education for Institute level admission(20 % seats),and admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 80 % seats,as per the rules/notification for admission to First Year Of Post SSC Diploma Course in Engineering /Technology,Directorate of Technical Education,Maharashtra State.For details refer the DTE web site: http://www.dte.org.in.

1.Reservation For Backward Classes

       a. Seats will be reserved for backward classes in the matter of admission to Polytechnic as per Government orders issued from time to time.
       The existing reservation of seats is as under:

a. Candidates belonging to NT-2, NT-3, OBC/SBC should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate with the application form.
b. Backward class student should produce certificate of their class from Executive Magistrate/Tahsildar.

2.Reservation For Physically Handicapped:

       1% of the total intake capacity of the Polytechnic is reserved for Physically Handicapped student. The candidate will be required to be certified by the civil surgeon in the prescribed form for candidates ability to undergo all part of syllabus of theory, Work-Shop, Practical etc.

3.Admission To Outside State Candidates:

       The Polytechnic started on no-grant basis, in accordance with the policy prescribed under government Resolution, Education and Employment Department, No.TEM3383/111836 ( 190 ) TE-1 ( a ) dated 21'st may, 1983, the management may give admission to outside student when there are no sufficient eligible applicant available from Maharashtra for giving admission, subject to the following condition to the following condition:

     i) The total number of student admitted from outside Maharashtra shall not exceed 20% to the sanctioned intake capacity.
     ii) The merit list will be approved by the Director of Maharashtra state Technical Education   Board, Mumbai.
     iii) Eligibility of the student will be certified by the director of Maharashtra state Technical Education Board, Mumbai before admission.

4.Documents Required:

A) No application will be considered unless it accompanies the attested copies of the following document :

  a) For all candidates (including B.C. Candidates) :
     i) A Medical Certificate in Prescribed Performa.
     ii) Certificate of passing of the Qualifying Examination (i.e. S.S.C or its equivalent examination with true copy of the statement of marks).
     iii) School/ Institute leaving (After Qualifying Examination) Certificate.
     iv) Certificate of Date of Birth (if the Date of Birth is not mentioned in the schools or Institute Leaving Certificate).
     v) Certificate of Nationality/Domicile or birth place showing Indian Nationality.
    vi) Income certificate as applicable if income is upto Rs.1lacs for E.B.C. freeship/Tution feewevior scheme.
     vii) Marksheets of std 8th & 9th or Z proforma.

b) For candidates belonging to Backward classes :
     i) Caste Certificate as prescribed under rule-2 above in prescribed form.
     ii) Domicile Certificate is required only for the candidate who has passed S.S.C. exams outside Maharashtra state.

  c) For Candidate claiming seats reserved for physically Handicapped:
      i) Certificate from civil surgeon regarding his physical ability to undergo the Diploma course in the branch in which the candidates seeks admission.

B) Copies of certificate attached to the application form should be attested by the Principal of the school/ Institute or a Gazette officer or Special Executive Magistrate. Original Certificate if attached to the application form will not be returned. Original Certificate will have to be produce at the time of scrutiny of application by the institute.

C) Application for admission will not be considered unless it is:
     i) Property & correctly filled in.
     ii) Accompanied by attested copies of the requisite certificates in support of the claims made in the application.
     iii) Received in the office on or before the last date prescribed by the Institute.

D) The student is eligible to change the branch in the second year of the year as per the rules & conditions prescribed by Maharashtra state Board Of Education.

5.Conduct And Discipline:

   a) Student while studying in our Institute, if found including in any anti-national activity, contrary to the provision of act and law enforce by Government, will be expelled from the Institute without any prior notice.
   b) If any of statement made in application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his/her admission at any time, found to be false or incorrect such candidate will not be considered for admission and if already admitted hi/her admission will be cancelled fees will be forfeited and he/she may be expelled from the institute and prosecuted by Govt. if deemed necessary. An appeal against the order of expulsion however may be proffered within 8 days from the date of expulsion to the Director of Technical Education whose decision in such cases will be final.
   c) The candidate on admission, shall be governed by general rules and also obey the disciplinary rules prescribed by the institute for the student.

6.Medium Of Instruction:
       The medium of instruction and examination is English as per MSBTE.
7.Admission To Direct Second Year Diploma:

       (As per DTE guidelines/procedure )
       1)The candidate should be Indian National And Have passed HSC science / Technical / Vocational(MCVC).

       2)The candidate passing ITI should have passed SSC or equivqlent exam with subjects English,Maths and science AND ITI(2 years) or equivalent.

       3)The candidate passing ITI(COE) should have passed SSC or equivalent exam with subjects English,Maths and Science AND ITI(COE) with three modules(Sector Module,Advanced Module and Specialized module)of 2 years duration.
