.::ADMISSION PROCEDURE::.
 
1. Procedure For Applying:

        Institute level admission(20 % seats),and admission through Centralized Admission Process (CAP) 80 % seats, as per the rules/notification for admission to First Year Of Post SSC Diploma Course in Engineering /Technology,of Higher and Technical Education Department Maharashtra State.

2.Reservation For Backward Classes

       The distribution of the seats available under General Admission Process as prescribed.
amongst the various backward class candidates from Maharashtra State are as per the details given in the table below. Backward class candidates shall have to claim at the time of submitting online application.

If a candidate fails to claim reservation for backward class on the application and subsequently claims reservation at the time of admission by producing necessary documents, such claim shall not be considered.

Note:

1. Reservation for backward class candidate i.e. 50% as stated above shall be available in Government, Government Aided, and Unaided Non-Minority Institutes.
2. The reservation for backward class candidates shall not be available in Unaided Minority Institutes/colleges.
3. Candidates belonging to Special Backward Class (SBC) will be offered reservation up to extent of 2% seats of the seats available for Maharashtra candidates which are coming under the purview of the Competent Authority.

NOTE:

a. Candidates belonging to NT-2, NT-3, OBC/SBC should produce latest non-creamy layer certificate with the application form.
b. Backward class student should produce certificate of their class from Executive Magistrate/Tahsildar.

 
3. Reservations for Persons with Disability Candidates:

       As per the provisions in Clause 39 of Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation Act 1995, three per cent (3%) of the seats available under general admission process of Polytechnic, shall be reserved for Persons with Disability candidates. These seats are within the sanctioned intake capacity.

This reservation shall be applicable for following types of Persons with Disability candidates:

a. Blind / visually impaired candidates (P1).
b. Speech & hearing impaired (Deaf & dumb) candidates-(P2).
c. Candidates with orthopaedic disorders and learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphica, Spastic-(P3).

These 3% seats should be offered to eligible Persons with Disability Candidates on the inter-se merit of respective PH candidates. These seats are allotted in Home District quota.

Note:
1. It should be noted that the Persons with Disability candidates on admission to Diploma course will not be given any exemptions or additional facilities in the academic activities other than those which may be provided by the MSBTE.
2. No relaxation in educational qualification will be entertained for Persons with Disability candidates.
3. The certificate (proforma F/F-1) should clearly state that the extent of disability is more than 40% and the disability is permanent in nature.
 
4. Reservation for female candidates :

        As per the provisions in Government. Resolution No. GEC-1000/ (123/2000)/ Tech. Edu.-1, dated 17th April, 2000, 30% seats shall be reserved for female candidates in all the courses of the institutions coming under CAP.
This reservation shall be applicable for General, SC, ST, VJ/DT (NT-A), NT-B, NT-C, NT-D and OBC categories. Seats reserved for Female candidates are available under both the Home District seats and Other than Home District seats coming under the CAP.
There shall be no reservation for Female candidates under Defence, Persons with Disability and SBC categories.

 
5. Admission To Outside State Candidates:

       The Polytechnic started on no-grant basis, in accordance with the policy prescribed under government Resolution, Education and Employment Department, No.TEM 3383/111836 ( 190 ) TE-1 ( a ) dated 21'st may, 1983, the management may give admission to outside student when there are no sufficient eligible applicant available from Maharashtra for giving admission, subject to the following condition to the following condition:

     i) The total number of student admitted from outside Maharashtra shall not exceed 20% to the sanctioned intake capacity.
     ii) The merit list will be approved by the Director of Technical Education¬†Maharashtra state RO PUNE.
     iii) Eligibility of the student will be certified by the Director of Technical Education¬†Maharashtra state Mumbai before admission.

 
6. Documents Required:

A) No application will be considered unless it accompanies the copies of the following document :

  a) For all candidates (including B.C. Candidates) :
     i) Certificate of passing of the Qualifying Examination (i.e. S.S.C or its equivalent examination with true copy of the statement of marks).
     ii) School/ Institute leaving (After Qualifying Examination) Certificate.
     iii) Certificate of Date of Birth (if the Date of Birth is not mentioned in the schools or Institute Leaving Certificate).
     iv) Certificate of Nationality/Domicile or birth place showing Indian Nationality.
    v) Income certificate as applicable if income is upto Rs.1 lacs for E.B.C. freeship/Tution feewevior scheme.
     vi) Marksheets of std 8th & 9th or Z proforma.

b) For candidates belonging to Backward classes :
     i) Caste Certificate as prescribed under rule-2 above in prescribed form.
     ii) Domicile Certificate is required only for the candidate who has passed S.S.C. exams outside Maharashtra state.

  B) The student is eligible to change the branch in the second year of the year as per the rules & conditions prescribed by Maharashtra state Board Of Education.

 
7. Conduct And Discipline:

    a) Student while studying in our Institute, if found including in any anti-national activity, contrary to the provision of act and law enforce by Government, will be expelled from the Institute without any prior notice.
   b) If any of statement made in application form or any information supplied by the candidate in connection with his/her admission at any time, found to be false or incorrect such candidate will not be considered for admission and if already admitted him/her admission will be cancelled fees will be forfeited and he/she may be expelled from the institute and prosecuted by Govt. if deemed necessary. An appeal against the order of expulsion however may be proffered within 8 days from the date of expulsion to the Director of Technical Education whose decision in such cases will be final.
   c) The candidate on admission, shall be governed by general rules and also obey the disciplinary rules prescribed by the institute for the student.

 
8. Medium Of Instruction:
       The medium of instruction and examination is English as per MSBTE.
 
9. Admission To Direct Second Year Diploma:

       (As per DTE guidelines/procedure )
       1) The Candidate should be Indian National;

       2) Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) Science or HSC Science with Vocational or HSC Science with Technical or SSC with 2 years ITI with appropriate Specialization.
